About NAMLS
Nepal Association for Medical Laboratory Sciences (NAMLS) is a non-governmental organisation registered at the Chief District Office (CDO), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal in May 1998. Since its establishment, NAMLS has been working for the betterment of medical laboratory services and its members through continuous education and national advocacy.

History & Milestones
From a small ad-hoc committee in 1998 to a nationally recognised body and international member society.
Founded
NAMLS registered at CDO Kathmandu in May 1998 under the leadership of Prof. Shyam Sundra Mall.
First Executive Committee
A complete executive committee formed under the leadership of Prof. Bharat Jha.
International Conference
Successfully organised the 1st NAMLS International Conference in Medical Laboratory Technology in Kathmandu.
IFCC & APFCB Membership
NAMLS became a full member of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) and Asia Pacific Federation for Clinical Biochemistry (APFCB).
IFCC–VLP Workshop
Hosted an international workshop on Quality Control in Clinical Laboratory Management under the IFCC Visiting Lecturer Programme.
Continuing Growth
NAMLS continues advocating for lab professionals, publishing its annual journal, and advancing quality standards across Nepal.
